about stillgestellt

stillgestellt is a collection of images that have been done on a couple of journeys between 2004 and 2011. for the pictures hiepler, brunier has been to israel and on iceland, to france, lithuania and the united states, to china, ecuador, slovenia, estonia and brazil.

there is no movement in the images. there is always been waiting, for visitors, for the bus, the end of winter or simply better times.

the book contains texts of the swiss philosopher tomas kadlcik, the new york architect lonn combs and the berlin photographer valeria herklotz.
